Welcome to our pet friendly page. To the Right you can see our wonderfull dog named "PUPPY". She is a golden retriever and is now approaching 11 years old. She has always had a calm personality. Her entire day surrounds the tennis ball that someone throws for her. She welcomes our guests and their dogs. When not outside you will usually find her in the lobby curled up on the loveseat. She is always ready to get up when a treat is offered to her. She is one of the few dogs that receives mail each year from our guests. We have taken many reservations from guests that ask "Is this the place that has puppy?". Our dog has brought us many years of compansionship and love so we know the importance of having your dog with you. We welcome your dogs and we hope they enjoy there stay at the Sunshine.

Heaven has accepted our beloved dog "puppy " on Jan 12, 2010. She will be missed by our family, friends and guest.

PET FRIENDLY ROOMS
we have special pet friendly rooms for our guests. Not all our rooms are available for pets. Pets allowed at the Sunshine are dogs. We love dogs and find that they are part of our guests family.
Pet rules: All dogs must be supervised at all times. They cannot be left alone in the rooms or cabins. All dog droppings must be picked up and disposed of. All dogs must be on a leash when outside. Please bring their own dishes for food and water. Every responsible pet owner knows that dogs should have their shots current, no fleas and be well behaved. It is the owners respsondiblity to keep the dog from distrubing other guests.
We have dog treats in the motel lobby along with towels for drying off dogs after a swim in Lake Superior.
We do not allow dogs in all rooms. We maintain the non-dog rooms for those who have allergies or prefer rooms that have not had dogs in them. Any guest who has a unresistered dog or dog in a non-dog room will be charged $25-$100.
