Lake Superior Fireworks, Food, Music & Summer Fun

Join us July 3rd in Ontonagon, Michigan for the 5th Annual Lights Over the Lake celebration hosted by Sunshine Motel and Cabins.

Set along the shores of Lake Superior, this growing summer tradition brings together live music, free food, fireworks, local vendors, and community spirit in the heart of the Western Upper Peninsula.

This year’s event celebrates America’s 250th Anniversary with an evening full of classic summer atmosphere — pulled pork sandwiches, potato salad, live entertainment, the annual pasty eating contest, and one of the most exciting fireworks shows in Ontonagon County.

As the sun sets over Lake Superior, the shoreline transforms into a night of music, laughter, glowing fireworks, and hometown energy that keeps visitors coming back every summer.

Lights Over the Lake proudly supports the Ontonagon County Cancer Association, helping local families and individuals right here in our community.
